Sterling Youth is our Silver Needle White Tea, the finest grade of white tea. Sterling Youth comes from Fo Zi Mountain in Zhenghe, China, which is about 850 meters high in elevation. This silver needle comes from the Zhou family of tea farmers. Silver Needle is the finest grade of white tea because it is the earliest picking of a harvest and only the first order buds of the tea plant is used. Thus, making for an exquisite and delicate white tea to enjoy.
This Zhenghe variety is a bit smokey and more savory than it's Fuding Silver Needle cousin, giving the Zhenghe variety a bit more depth.
As this tea ages with time, it will take on more fruity and honey notes.
